Hebatallah Gaber
MYP Coordinator
Hebatallah Gaber has been an IB educator for the past 14 years. She has 17 years of experience in international schools both in Dubai and Jeddah Saudi Arabia. Hebatallah holds a MA International Education, University of Sunderland, United Kingdom, BSc in Pharmaceutical and Clinical Sciences and has started her career as a pharmacist in her home country, Egypt. Soon after that she moved to Saudi Arabia and was inspired into teaching in international schools, to professionally develop her teaching career she earned a PGCE from The University of Sunderland at her first few years of teaching.
Her IB career started in the first IB continuum school in Jeddah, where she resumed the role of Head of MYP sciences and Biology DP teacher. After a few years of teaching the IB, and to fully espouse the IB philosophy, Hebatallah started her journey in the IB Educators Network where she was first given the role of MYP workshop leader and MYP visiting team member. She then moved to Dubai as the Head of Sciences in one of the IB continuum schools and then was appointed as the MYP Coordinator in the same school. During her time in Dubai, she has completed her MA in International Education from The University of Sunderland and has stepped up to carrying advanced roles in the IB Educators network such as MYP Consultant for schools seeking authorization, MYP Team Leader for verification and authorization school visits and IB Programme Leader.
Hebatallah has conducted IB training workshops for teachers and administrators, school visits and consultancy tasks in various locations in the Africa, Middle East, Europe region including Slovenia, Kenya, Jordan, Turkey, Poland, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Exposure to different cultures and school contexts has consolidated her belief that the development of Internationally minded students is fundamental for a successful IB education.
