Rated Outstanding for 9 consecutive years, Modern’s Kindergarten spans from Pre KG to KG2. Our curriculum aims at weaving together interrelated experiences encouraging a deeper understanding of the world. We foster independent, social and collaborative learning, and encourage inquiry that awakens children’s natural curiosity, empowering students to direct their own learning. Children’s wellbeing and holistic approach towards developing the intellectual, artistic, creative and spiritual potential in children is at the crux of everything we do in the Kindergarten, ably supported by pedagogical approaches - Reggio Emilia and Montessori Principles of children’s learning and development.
Kindergarten spans from Pre KG to KG2. The curriculum has been designed keeping in mind the 21st century learner. It is a harmonious blend of best practices currently been used in early years settings. The curriculum content covers seven areas of development parallel to the EYFS framework, with pedagogical support of Reggio Emilia and Montessori Principles of children’s learning and development.
The curriculum gives opportunity for purposeful play, group and individual activities thus fostering independence and helping children develop social skills and skills for collaborative learning. An inquiry based approach helps awaken children’s natural curiosity enabling them to give direction to their own learning. Yoga and Brain Gym are a part of the Kindergarten Programme and are successfully used to enhance children’s focus.
The wellbeing of our students is at the crux of everything we do. We adopt a holistic approach towards the development of the child’s personal, social and emotional persona. This enables children to engage positively and confidently with their environment and thereby take full advantage of learning opportunities offered to them.
KACE (Kindergarten Activities for Curriculum Enrichment), an extra-curricular programme, gives children the opportunity to imbibe the 3 Ds – Discipline, Determination and Dedication and follow their interest, enhance their gross motor skills, and express themselves through activities like Cricket, Tennis, Football, Gymnastics, Ballet, Malhar (Indian Classical Music), Theatre Junction and Art.
