Jenny Anderson and Rebecca Winthrop's The Disengaged Teen highlights how a lack of meaningful connection, structure, and engagement can lead to detachment from learning and personal growth. Each student is a singular ecology, a shifting intersecting tangle of narratives and identities and demands a transformative approach, one that is rooted in active and intentional parenting. It is our responsibility as educators to help them find their 'mojo' and navigate the engagement continuum
