Welcome to Middle School
Hebatallah Gaber has been on her MYP and IB journey since 2008. She has many years of experience in international schools both in Dubai and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Hebatallah holds an MA in International Education from the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom, a BSc in Pharmaceutical and Clinical Sciences, and began her professional career as a pharmacist in her home country, Egypt. Soon after, she moved to Saudi Arabia and was inspired to teach in international schools. To professionally develop her teaching career, she earned a PGCE from the University of Sunderland during her early years of teaching.
Her IB career started in the first IB continuum school in Jeddah, where she took on the role of Head of MYP Sciences and Biology DP teacher. After a few years of teaching the IB and to fully embrace the IB philosophy, Hebatallah joined the IB Educators Network, first as an MYP workshop leader and MYP visiting team member. She then moved to Dubai as the Head of Sciences in one of the IB continuum schools and was later appointed as the MYP Coordinator at the same school. During her time in Dubai, she completed her MA in International Education and progressed to advanced roles in the IB Educators Network, including MYP Consultant for schools seeking authorization, MYP Team Leader for verification and authorization visits, and IB Programme Leader.
Hebatallah has conducted IB training workshops for teachers and administrators, school visits, and consultancy tasks in various locations across Africa, Middle East, and Europe, including Slovenia, Kenya, Jordan, Bahrain, Turkey, Poland, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Exposure to different cultures and school contexts has consolidated her belief that the development of internationally minded students is fundamental to a successful IB education.
