Assessment and

Student Progress

Assessment in the MYP is criterion-related, with student achievement evaluated against subject-specific criteria. Formative and summative assessments provide opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding, receive meaningful feedback and reflect on their progress. Teachers use a best-fit judgement to determine achievement levels, supporting continuous growth and improvement.

Personal Project

In MYP 5, students undertake the Personal Project, an independent inquiry that allows them to explore an area of personal interest, apply ATL skills and reflect on their learning and achievements. This project encourages students to take ownership of their learning and demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the MYP.
